I'm re-watching this and fuck this felt more sadder than last time. Although Meruem became a good guy, it wouldn't have been possible without his fight with Netero because he still wanted to keep eating humans and be evil

Thats actually a really good point. His coming of death and him forgetting about Komugi really did help make him less evil

This for me is the best episode in Hunter X Hunter 2011.

The ultimate culmination of Meruem's character development is absurdly satisfying. In the end, both sides lost everything to this war, but Meruem and Komugi managed to reunite and are likely to spend eternity together.
